A seawater talisman, aquamarine.

When I choose aquamarines, I often feel transported, dreaming of blue horizons and translucent waters. I sometimes even hear the lapping of water.

Used since ancient times, the Romans called it aqua marina, "sea water", in reference to its colour, varying from sky blue to an intense blue, sometimes even blue-green.

Aquamarine is a variety of beryl like emerald and morganite. It is a soothing stone. Its vibrations are soft and long-lasting.

Symbol of purity and detachment, aquamarine protects from one's enemies, helps to overcome obstacles, to control fears and phobias, to find calm and inner peace.

In both Ancient Egypt and Rome, as well as in the Moghul kings' India, this stone was used as a talisman.

Aquamarine facilitates communication and singing. It brings love to the lonely heart. It facilitates happiness and fidelity in marriage, which made it a very fashionable gift for lovers during the era of European Romanticism in the 19th century.

It is the stone of fiancés, sailors and great travellers.

Aquamarine is also suitable for newborns and children.
