For her Paris boutique, located on the ground floor of a beautiful early 19th-century hôtel particulier, Marie-Hélène de Taillac chose to disregard preconceived notions about jewelry and asked iconoclastic designer Tom Dixon to help create this space. She wanted to optimize space and light in order to create a sort of counterpoint to her creations. Walls and lacquered coffee tables were done in the MHT signature blue, while sofas picked up the poppy red color of her logo. Numerous mirrors simultaneously reflect daylight, the gems’ astonishing colors and the luster of gold. Dixon’s suspended silver sphere light fixtures recall gigantic pearls.
